Programs

We can find you tuition/ guidance in any of the listed subjects in a wide variety of venues and locations all adjacent to the Celtic Sea or the Atlantic Ocean. Just browse through the information and see what takes your fancy. The programming is flexible - we specialise in a la carte programs for long weekends, whole or part weeks depending on the subject. Either we can book you into a studio for a few days for you to work on your own or maybe alongside another visitor. We call this the A LA CARTE program. Or you can book into the Bay Series of workshops. These are located on or near the bays at Oysterhaven, Roaring Water, and Bantry and each has a different mix of programs.

Unlike the A LA CARTE program, which books you into individual studios, the Bay Series dates are set before hand and you know you will be in a tuition group of at least two and at most eight, working on a course for two or three days. There are four or five different, simultaneous courses running in or around a central venue: this is designed to accommodate groups traveling together who want a choice of activities - they may act as 'tasters' for more prolonged study at a future date. The Bay Series are different from 'independent' classes because a theme may be dealt with by more than one instructor and as there is a central venue where some tuition will take place. All participants can meet to share experiences. We love to include some cookery and feasting (or just feasting if you are allergic to kitchens). The logistics are the same for The Bay Series or the 'independent' visitor - a working day is from 10.00 am - 12.30 pm and 2.00 - 4.30 pm; materials for small projects, lunch and refreshments and all facilities are provided. Around the edges of each program we direct or take you to galleries, others studios or places of interest so that you can follow up your study theme on your own. You may also choose to stay at the accommodation offered at these workshop venues.
