Outline of the Course Aims
Children's art may take the form of sequential instruction in a requested technique or medium. Or it may be a loosely structured play session such as, for example, the 'earth games' devised by Grace Waldman where a group of children collect materials and 'build' a mountain, then subject it to wind and water to see erosion in action and to understand how clay is laid down. This can lead to drawing, the children having made the charcoal. Or it could be the introduction to clay work....
