Ben Russell

The wood carver's workshop is high in the Keimaneagh Pass above Bantry Bay. Ben Russell has been a professional woodworker in West Cork for 30 years and has taught and demonstrated wood carving for the last 12. He is a former chairman of the West Cork Craft and Design Guild. A writer and photographer, he has contributed over 100 articles to specialist woodworking magazines. For the last three years he has given masterclass demonstrations at the International Woodworker Show in London. He will teach the basics of tool care, project planning, handling and finishing techniques for relief work, 3D, bowls, spoons, letter-carving - your choice. Ben will also give one-to-one tuition by arrangement.
