Choosing and maintaining woodcarving tools

Planning a project

Work-holding, carving and finishing techniques

Specific techniques as requested: relief, 3D, bowls, spoons, letter-carving.

Carving exercises, then choose your own project.

Equipment:

All the necessary tools are supplied, but do bring any you may own already. Tools can usually be bought at the workshop. Studentıs own gouges can be sharpened and tuned, and full use may be made of the workshopıs reference library.
