Outline of the Course Aims
Adrian Wistreich has recently completed his dream home and studio overlooking the Bandon estuary by Kinsale. Here he runs a very busy arts centre specialising in a pottery school with extensive workshops and a gallery. Both hand-built and wheel-thrown forms can be developed here - with a variety of different clay bodies to choose from and high firing electric kilns to develop a myriad of glaze finishes. Adrian specialises in sculptural ceramics and makes figurative and commemorative pieces, some quite fanciful. His work has been shipped worldwide and this facility offers the student great flexibility of approach.
