Maybe you are accompanying a family member who is signed up for training you don't participate in...maybe you are learning English/Irish or....and you need some relief from verbs for a couple of mornings...? Maybe you want to expand your repertoire and learn a new skill or fulfil a long-held dream; maybe you want to be around like-minded, purposeful people or be alongside someone new to you or maybe you just get bored being a tourist/ observer. With Arts Holidays Ireland you are right now set on course for something creative. The site of the workshop may be the artist's studio or another venue by arrangement. In beguiling Ireland it is easy to get close to the heart of Celtic creativity.

If you are thinking of spending some time in this magical country but have doubts about the weather consider the following: the Spectacular South West certainly is subject to all the weather the Atlantic can throw at it. But this doesn't just mean wind and rain. In February and November the clouds scud across gold and turquoise skies framed by double rainbows for these are the change-over months and the temperature is never very low in the coastal region because the Gulf Stream ameliorates the worst of the cold that one gets in the midlands or in continental Europe. Camellias bloom all February and fuchsias and palm trees line the lanes. Just remember the success of your holiday does not depend on the weather - it can do what it wants - with good planning and advice you will be engaged in an absorbing time with people who are always up for the 'craic'.

Just look at the list (click on Workshops) and choose something you would enjoy. Then we will wrap it up for you with smoked salmon and shamrocks, set it in glorious scenery near the ocean and you'll have your Arts Holidays Ireland program. You'll take home photos from your instructor's camera and your art work - more than a trinket or a souvenir - will be an heirloom, a reminder of when you took part in Celtic creativity.
